Before moving to Florida, I lived in Madison, Wisconsin, where I owned and operated two businesses: an office furniture remanufacturing company and a moving and freight business. After selling both companies, I relocated to Clearwater, Florida, in 2004, where I continue to live today.
After years of owning and operating businesses, I was ready for a new chapter—one that would allow me to put my experience working with people and understanding their needs to good use. In 2005, I earned my Florida 2-15 Health and Life Insurance License and began my career as an independent insurance agent and broker. Since then, I’ve dedicated myself to helping Florida individuals and families navigate their insurance options and find coverage that fits their needs, circumstances, and budgets.
I work for my clients, not the insurance companies. While I understand the insurance industry’s language, policies, and often-confusing fine print, my job is to translate those details into straightforward, understandable information. I want you to know exactly what you’re purchasing, what your coverage includes, and how it may affect you in real-life situations.
As an independent agent, I’m not tied to a single insurance company or obligated to meet sales quotas for a particular carrier. This independence allows me to compare competitive plans from the insurers I represent and recommend options based on what’s right for you, rather than what’s best for an insurance company.
My commitment to you doesn’t end when you enroll. In many ways, that’s just the beginning. I make a concerted effort to connect with my clients at least once a year to review their current circumstances, discuss any changes in their needs, and determine whether their existing coverage still makes sense or if better options may be available.
Like the businesses I owned before entering the insurance industry, I’ve built my independent agency on integrity, knowledge, experience, and a commitment to doing what’s right for my clients. Over the past several years, my business has grown almost entirely through referrals from satisfied clients. That’s an accomplishment I’m particularly proud of because it reflects the trust and relationships I’ve worked hard to earn.
And on a more personal note, when I’m not helping clients navigate the world of insurance, one of my occasional guilty pleasures is enjoying a good glass of single malt Scotch whisky—neat, of course.
